INDEX OF BOSS & MUG ABILITIES

Each Character in the Dexiverse has one or more Special Abilities available to them.  These Abilities are listed on each ID and can be activated through a successful 1D6 die roll or other circumstances. Each Round a Player may choose to Activate only one of these Abilities. That Ability will reset at the beginning of the next Round.

Backstab: (Range 5) Add +1 Damage to a Target Boss or Mug that received Damage this Round. (Roll 3+ on 1D6 to activate) – Daphne, Manix Marloe.

Banish: Look at Target’s Hand and choose one Card to remove from the game. (Roll 3+ on 1D6 to activate) – Hassina.

Bless: (Range 3) Remove one Bite or Venom Token from Target. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – Billie Blackthorn, Dex Dixon.

Bully: Force target Character with an HP total less than Hans’ to skip their Attack Phase this Round.  (Roll 5+ on 1D6 to activate) – Hans.

Charm: Pull a card at random from Target’s Hand. Put it into your Hand. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – Manix Marloe.

Comfort: (Range 3) Target gains 5 HP or 5 PP. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – Billie Blackthorn, Trixi Sweethome.

 

Compulsion: (Ranged X) At the top of the Round, roll 1D6. Brainsucker must attack any Character within that movement range. (Vamps cannot become Brainsuckers. -Brainsucker Ned Nailor.

 

Dark Sacrifice:

1: (Discard) Sacrifice. All Damage done to Target becomes 0. – Were Henchman.

2: (Discard) Sacrifice. Target gains +3 to Attack and +4 Damage. -Vamp Henchman.

 

Detain: (Butt-In, Range 5)  Block all Damage done in Target Boss’ Attack Phase. Conmbatants are sent to the closest “Jail” or the “Dungeon.” Target loses their Attack Phase on their next Turn. (Roll 5+ to activate) – Commissioner Harris.

 

Exile: Look at Target opponent’s Cards. Choose one to remove from the game. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – Lobo.

 

Guide and Escort: (Global) Give a Wolf Badge to Target Boss. The Boss can return the Wolf Badge to skip across Dimensional Gates undetected. (Roll 3+ on 1D6 to activate) – Lobo, Fritz, Hans, Leopold, Werewolf Henchman, Trixie Sweethome.

 

Heal: (Range 3) Add X HP to Target where X is the roll on 1D6. (Roll 3+ on 1D6 to activate) – Dr. Morgan Terry, Azibo, Lyla Lariby.

 

Incarcerate: (Butt-In, Global) Send Targets who engaged in combat to “Jail” or the “Dungeon” depending on which World the Attack took place in. All Damage is reduced to 0. Targets lose their Attack Phase on their next Turn. (Roll 5+ to activate) – Officer Klondike.

 

Inform: (Butt-In) Force two Players to swap hands. (One Charge Counter to activate) – Scoops.

 

Life Drain: (Range 5) Add +1 Damage to a Target who has received Damage this Round. Give 1 HP to a Target. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – Golum Irving.

 

Morph or Transform: At the end of each Round, remove a Charge Counter. When there are no more counters, remove Character from the game. – Monstrosity, MEL and Were Beast.

 

Negotiate: (Butt-In, Range 5) Block all Damage done in Target Boss’ Attack Phase this Turn. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – Officer Klondike.

 

Overpower:  When adjacent to another Mug, Ned may choose to turn Target Mug into a Brainsucker.               Mug remains in play under Ned’s controlling Player.  (Roll 5+ on 1D6 to activate) -Brainsucker Ned Nailor.

 

Overserve: (Local) During Target’s Turn, Target speed is -2, Attack is -1 and Damage is -1. (Roll 5+ on 1D6 to activate) – Trixie Sweethome.

 

Persuade: (Local) Immediately Activate Target. Choose to do one of the following: Move Target, Activate Ability or Attack. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – Nelly Nailor, Delila.

 

Rage: Gain a second Attack. That Attack

 

Recruit: Bring a Mug into play. Assign to any Our Fair City Boss. (Roll 3+ on 1D6 to activate) – Dex Dixon, Horus.

 

Red Tape: (Butt-In) During Target’s Turn, Movement roll is cut in half (rounded down) Attack is -1 and Damage is -1. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – Commissioner Harris.

 

Retainer: (Range 3) Add 5 HP or 5 PP to Target. (Roll 3+ on 1D6 to activate) – Nelly Nailor.

 

Rumor: (Butt-In) Block one Power or Equipment Ability. Blocked Player pays no PP and may keep the card in their hand or in play. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – Billie Blackthorn.

 

Sacrifice:

1: (Discard) Sacrifice Character. Target Character gains +3 to Attack and +4 to Damage until the end of the Round. – Silus Sly.

2: (Discard) Sacrifice Character to nullify all Damage done this Turn an force all Players to discard their Hands. – Barry Baritone.

 

Siren Song: (Butt-In) Put any card In Play into your Hand. (Roll 5+ on 1D6 to activate) – Vampettes.

 

Slither:  Give a Snake Badge to Target. Target can return the Snake Badge to cross the Sewer Dimensional Gates undetected. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – All Snake Weres.

 

Sneak: (Butt-In) Target Character can pass by or disengage from an opponent without taking Damage. – Golum Sidney (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate), Scoops (Remove Charge Counter to activate).

 

Snipe: (Butt-In) Do 1 Damage to any Target that was affected by a Card or Ability this Turn. (Roll 5+ on 1D6 to activate) – Leopold.

 

Speed Burst: Gain a second Attack this Turn. Second Attack has a +2 Modifier. - Lyla Lariby.

 

Spite: Add +2 to Attack and +2 to Damage when attacking a Were. (Roll 3+ on 1D6 to activate) – Daphne.

 

Summon: Bring one Mug into play. Assign to any Nightside Boss. (Roll 3+ on 1D6 to activate) - Horus

 

Surgery: (Range 2) Remove a Venom or Bite Token from Target. (Roll 4+ on 1D6 to activate) – Dr. Morgan Terry.

 

Symbiosis: If the Boss controlling X gains control of Y, return both X and Y to the recruitment pool and put Z into play under that Boss’ control. (Activated automatically) – Frank, Shadow, Snake Henchman, Werewolf Henchman, Golem Sidney and Golem Irving.

 

Turn: If attack roll is successful, Player may choose to “Bite” Target. Deal 1 Damage and place a “Bite” Token on Target. – All Vampire Characters

 

Venom: If attack roll is successful, Character may choose to “Poison” Target. Deal 1 Damage and place a “Venom” Token on Target. At the beginning of each Round Target loses 1 Damage until “Poison” Token is removed. – All Snake Weres.
